Al-Ula inks James Anderson, ex Manisa

James Anderson

Al-Ula (Division 1) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American small forward James Anderson (198cm-97kg-1989, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) for upcoming 2024-25 season. He joins another USA player Quinn Cook who is already in the roster.
He played last season at Manisa Buyuksehir Belediye Spor in Turkish BSL league. In 26 games he had 10.5ppg, 3.5rpg and 2.1apg. He also played 13 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he recorded 9.7ppg, 3.8rpg and 2.7apg.
The previous (2022-23) season he played at Murcia (Liga Endesa) in Spanish league.
In 2010 he was drafted by San Antonio Spurs (NBA) in first round (20th overall). The former Oklahoma State University star is in his 15th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
He represented USA at the World University Games in Beograd (Serbia) fifteen years ago. Anderson's team won Bronze and he had over 7 points per game.
Anderson is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Lithuania (Zalgiris), Russia (Khimki), Spain, NBA (Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers and Sacramento Kings) and NBA G League (Austin Spurs and RGV Vipers).
Among many awards he played in the final of Turkish League in 2022. Anderson was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Lithuanian LKL Import Player of the Year back in 2015.
